The Racquets Director is responsible for leading and improving the Clubs racquets program which includes tennis and pickleball. This individual will deliver exceptional member experience by providing high- quality instruction fostering a welcoming environment and developing creative programming that engages players of all ages and skill levels. The Racquets Director will be the face of racquet sports at Rehoboth Beach Country Club balancing on-court teaching with program development member relations and operational oversight.
Conduct group clinics private lessons and junior/adult classes and camps for tennis and pickleball.
Design and execute seasonal program calendars including social events tournaments and leagues.
Create engaging level-appropriate instruction for beginners through advanced players.
Develop youth racquets programs to attract younger members and families.
Build strong relationships with members encouraging participation and fostering camaraderie.
Organize social mixers exhibitions and special events that promote fun and community.
Serve as an approachable and visible ambassador for racquet sports throughout the Club.
Oversee racquet facilities ensuring courts equipment and amenities are well-maintained.
Manage racquets staff including seasonal assistants or instructors as needed.
Provide quality leadership and a positive highly visible and engaging style. A genuine accessible and approachable personality is an essential element of success.
Must be a passionate ambassador for all racquet sports with the ability to transfer that passion to the team members.
Is sincerely active and visibly interactive with staff Members and their guests daily.
It is positive upbeat leader of the racquets experience who intuitively exemplifies the standards of decorum and quality necessary to meet the desired goals of RBCC.
Is a strong consensus builder recognizing the importance of having effective skills to reconcile
differences and inspire solutions for a better operation and member experience.
Work with Club management to establish program goals budgets and marketing initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of lessons clinics and event participation.
Proven experience as a Racquets Professional or Director with expertise in both tennis and pickleball.
Strong teaching background with ability to coach players of all ages and skill levels.
Dynamic personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Passion for creating a welcoming and inclusive racquets culture.
Knowledge of racquet facility operations and event management.
Verifiable strength in strategic planning and working closely with boards committees and other key contributors to developing executing and updating strategies to success.
A verifiable motivator and leader who can bring out the best in others by setting clear goals and expectations holding them accountable for outcomes providing consistent feedback support and through respectful interaction and professionalism.
Someone with a history of innovation and a champion of new ideas and initiatives looking to consistent improvement of member experiences and operational efficiency.
Certification by USPTA PTR PPR or similar is strongly preferred.
