Job Type: Part-time / Permanent

Job Responsibilities:

1. Always adhering to the Colleges Health & Safety policies procedures and statutory obligations.
   
2. Identifying and promptly removing risks and hazards (including trip hazards spills or obstructions) to ensure a safe environment.
   
3. Carrying out general cleaning duties including but not limited to:
   - Vacuuming rooms offices and corridors.
   - Emptying and disposing of waste bins.
   - Cleaning and polishing glass mirrors and reflective surfaces.
   - Sweeping mopping and maintaining floor surfaces.
   - Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms toilets and washroom facilities.
   - Cleaning and maintaining common areas including stairwells and reception spaces.
   
4. Ensuring that all rooms and communal areas remain tidy fresh and odour free.
   
5. Reporting without delay any item in need of repair maintenance or replacement to the designated person.
   
6. Maintaining cleaning storage areas in a tidy and secure condition ensuring that cleaning products and equipment are used and stored safely.
   
7. Maintaining professional and courteous communication with colleagues staff students and visitors always.
   
8. Contributing to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the workplace.
   
9. Carrying out any other tasks reasonably assigned by management which fall within your role and capabilities.

Physical Requirements In performing your duties you will be required to:

1. Use ladders and step-stools when necessary.
   
2. Engage in bending stooping reaching and lifting.
   
3. Stand and walk for extended periods.
