The Manufacturing Engineer leads the technical execution of product development lifecycle management (PDLM) sub- projects ensuring seamless transition from design to production. This role defines and aligns manufacturing requirements with production needs updates quality control plans and ensures compliance with safety regulatory and legal standards.
It provides expert input on factory and product design changes to enhance manufacturability drives process improvements and independently optimizes Capex strategies. The engineer also delivers advanced technical support to resolve equipment issues and production bottlenecks leveraging deep knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
Your role:
PDLM Sub-project Ownership: Act as the technical lead for Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) subprojects ensuring smooth coordination and execution from product development to launch in collaboration with the Product Industrialization Engineer.
Manufacturing Requirements Definition: Establish and align production-related manufacturing requirements within PDLM facilitating efficient transitions from design to production while enhancing quality and operational readiness.
Quality & Compliance Oversight: Review and update quality control plans and work instructions ensuring strict adherence to internal quality standards safety protocols environmental regulations legal requirements and company policies.
Equipment Installation & Ramp-Up Support: Oversee precise equipment installation and provide advanced technical support during process ramp-up phases ensuring seamless integration and readiness for full-scale production.
Factory Input at Milestones: Provide expert factory-level input during SR milestone sign-offs and project closures ensuring manufacturing considerations are fully addressed to support successful project outcomes.
Lifecycle Design Change Implementation: Drive implementation of design changes throughout the lifecycle management process to improve product functionality manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
Process & Tool Optimization: Lead enhancements in manufacturing processes tools and equipment to improve quality and efficiency. Monitor post-handover performance and resolve operational challenges proactively.
Lean Manufacturing Application: Apply lean principles to streamline production reduce waste optimize resource utilization and elevate overall manufacturing efficiency.
Capex Strategy Execution: Implement Capex optimization initiatives for recurring investments focusing on cost reduction productivity improvement and long-term value creation.
Recurring Equipment Management: Ensure timely procurement and integration of recurring equipment into manufacturing operations maintaining alignment with quality and performance standards.
Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead and mentor a team of process engineers empowering them to support project teams independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
Youre the right fit if:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Electronics Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Sciences or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Engineering and Product Industrialization with deep expertise in modern engineering tools methods and practices.
Industry Background: Preferred candidates will have experience in Home Appliances Lifestyle or Consumer Electronics sectors with exposure to mass/high-volume production and low cycle time environments.
