Hearing Impairment Support Assistant Year 2

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with hearing impairments A welcoming primary school in Brent (NW10) is seeking a caring and skilled Hearing Impairment Support Assistant to work with Year 2 pupils who are hard of hearing.

You will provide tailored one-to-one and small group support helping pupils fully access the curriculum and participate confidently in school life. Working closely with the class teacher SENCO and external specialists you will use communication methods such as British Sign Language (BSL) lip reading and visual aids to create an inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience supporting children with hearing impairments or in a deaf-friendly setting.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development or BSL (beneficial but not essential).
  • Patience empathy and excellent communication skills.
