IT Generalist

SUMMARY

The IT Technicians primary responsibility is to serve the church and school by providing hands-on assistance in maintaining and managing the information systems (network computers software).

PRIMARY LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and upgrade the church and schools computer hardware software and network components.

• Troubleshooting hardware and software problems. If it is not possible to fix it discuss it with the supervisor and/or contact the appropriate repair vendor.

• Support internet use with the staff and provide support for the website and internet.

• Support staff to enhance their use of technology. Train staff to improve hardware and software utilization.

• Maintain equipment inventory.

• Maintain flow charts equipment layouts schematics and manuals for all technology.

• Maintain technical competency through industry peer groups conferences and periodical resources.

• Support technical and medica systems and other duties as directed by the supervisor.

• Maintain a cooperative spirit by assisting others when needed or requested.

• Communicate effectively with leaders peers and members of the church and school.

• Demonstrate stewardship of church and school resources including supplies equipment and intellectual property.

• Understand and adhere to procedural guidelines and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Previous experience working with Office365 Windows PC MacOS and Google Workspaces. Knowledge of wireless networks.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills the ability to work with a diverse group of people and communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone e-mail and in person demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers co-workers the public church members and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions. The ability to read analyze and interpret complex documents instruction manuals policies and procedures is essential.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of PC systems to complete tasks including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must have basic mathematical skills knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting and budget and expense monitoring. The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.

REASONING ABILITY

The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks and project outcomes using different implementation strategies and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is . The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
