Job Summary

The Opportunity

Demonstrating initiative independent decision-making and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality you will provide high-level executive support and serve as a trusted partner to the Deputy Provost. The Deputy Provosts portfolio includes faculty support and development promotion and tenure processes supporting chairs and deans on academic initiatives dean searches dual career programs and advising university leadership.

In this role you will:

  • Manage complex calendars travel and daily priorities ensuring the Deputy Provost is well-prepared and supported.
  • Coordinate high-level meetings and events including preparing agendas materials and follow-up actions.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Develop reports presentations and correspondence that advance strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a key liaison with university leadership faculty staff and external partners.
  • Provide program and project support including event planning and coordination.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the office ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree and at least 4 years related administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must provide a professional customer-oriented approach and demonstrate the ability to handle diplomatically a wide variety of situations.
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Requires a high level of initiative motivation independent judgment decision-making and commitment to precision and accuracy.
  • Incumbent must have the ability to work in a team environment ability to take initiative must demonstrate good judgement great attention to detail and a collaborative and positive spirit.
  • Must be able to handle highly confidential information.
  • Must be proficient in the use of various software including MS Office (Word Excel Outlook e-mail and calendar). WordPress InDesign Concur Travel System Zoom and FileMaker Pro MS Copilot and be able to learn other software as necessary.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students faculty staff and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in social or behavioral sciences.
  • Prior experience in an office requiring highly confidential and professional atmosphere desirable.
