TITLE: OFFICE CLERKIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: TRIBAL COUNCIL SECRETARYCONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIRSTATUS: Part-Time (up to 16 hours a week) LOCATION: Kaw City OKQUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED and prefer experience in general office administration which includes advanced clerical and computer skills in a Windows environment. Further education or relevant training may substitute for experience. Prefer previous administrative or management work experience. Must be able to set priorities organize coordinate work efficiently and to establish good personal relations with other workers. Must be able to pass a background check drug test and maintain such status as well as possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be and continue to be insurable.Responsibilities and Duties:The position provides clerical and administrative support services such as but not limited to the following: word processing mail administration (including e-mail) file maintenance and supervision and project administration for the Tribal Council Secretary. Duties will include record maintenance. - Provide administrative and clerical support to the Tribal Council Secretary of the Kaw Nation as assigned.
- Provide customer service to the public and the members and employees of the Kaw Nation who have business with the Tribal Council Secretary.
- Provide or receive information on behalf of the Tribal Council Secretary enter retrieve manage and protect data in various formats written and electronic; and collect and compile statistical data as directed.
- Help schedule and maintain calendars for the Tribal Council Secretary or such other services as directed.
- Type and prepare correspondence and other documents as directed by the Tribal Council Secretary make copies of materials records and/or correspondence for distribution as directed; and file and track materials records and correspondence to ensure delivery and/or return.
- Observe strict confidentiality in all matters responsibilities and duties performed on behalf of the Tribal Council Secretary the Tribal Council and in accord with the Kaw Nations Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.
- Provide assistance to other departments in Kaw Nation upon requests from directors through immediate supervisor. Written records will be kept of departments helped and the nature of the work accomplished.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.
