Job Summary We are currently seeking a Welder to join our team in Raleigh. This is an entry level position. The Welder will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints measuring and cutting materials and welding components to fabricate metal role involves operating metalworking machinery ensuring quality control and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metalworking attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with the production team.
Duties/Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
- Measure and cut materials to ensure proper fit
- Weld components using welding techniques
- Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
- Maintain welding equipment and tools
Requirements: - Ability to read and interpret blueprint
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide use all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate ratio percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to have common understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardizing situations
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Supervisory Responsibilities Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods standing and working with machinery
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
