Preparation and Setup
Remove or cover all food items utensils and equipment from cleaning zones.
Set up appropriate signage (e.g. Wet Floor) and isolate areas to ensure safety.
Prepare and dilute cleaning chemicals according to standard operating procedures.
Surface and Equipment Cleaning
Deep clean kitchen surfaces including walls floors and splashbacks.
Scrub and sanitize countertops sinks worktops and preparation tables. Clean and degrease kitchen equipment such as: Ovens Grills Fryers etc.
Detail Cleaning
Disassemble and clean kitchen appliances or removable parts (e.g. fryer baskets grates filters).
Clean under and behind heavy equipment where grease and dirt accumulate.
Remove scale and grease buildup from taps drains and pipework.
Waste Management
Collect and dispose of waste grease and dirty water responsibly.
Replace and disinfect bins waste chutes and refuse areas.
Safety Compliance
Use correct PPE (gloves aprons masks non-slip shoes).
Report faulty equipment or any hazards to supervisors.
Final Inspection and Reset
Assist with final inspection checks.
Return cleaned equipment and utensils to their proper place.
Ensure the kitchen is sanitized safe and ready for use.
Teamwork and Communication
Work closely with the deep clean team leader and follow task assignments.
Communicate any challenges or safety concerns during cleaning operations.
Adopt the Servest culture and values.
A Grade 10 certificate or relevant qualification
Experience as a hygiene service technician with deep cleaning and specialized cleaning background will be advantageous.
Good planning and organizing skills.
Ability to read and write.
Good verbal and written communication skills
General knowledge of hygiene practices
Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
Basic knowledge of occupationally health and safety practices and procedures would be advantageous.
