Weve accomplished what many believed was still years away delivering end-to-end products at unprecedented speed often 2 to 5 times faster than traditional methods. By leveraging AI to generate the majority of code documentation architecture diagrams and infrastructure as code were not just accelerating delivery were raising the bar on quality across the board. Your role

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)

You will lead the technical delivery of complex mobile and digital solutions as the primary technical contact on client projects. As a Lead Mobile Technical Consultant youll blend deep mobile expertise with strategic thinking client advisory and people leadership to drive transformation initiatives for Australian enterprises.

Working on diverse projects where mobile may be the primary focus or one component of a larger digital ecosystem youll leverage PALO ITs Gen-e2 AI-powered engineering approach to accelerate delivery while maintaining exceptional quality. Youll be hands-on technically while also shaping solutions during pre-sales mentoring consultants and representing PALO ITs technical excellence to clients and the broader tech community.

Your role spans three critical dimensions: technical leadership on mobile development projects client advisory during sales and strategic engagements and people leadership through coaching and capability building. Youll work with cutting-edge mobile technologies (iOS Android Flutter KMM) while contributing to full-stack delivery when needed collaborating seamlessly with backend frontend and product teams.

You will:

• Lead mobile application development as primary technical expert on client projects architecting enterprise-scale solutions using modern frameworks (iOS Android or cross-platform)
• Drive technical delivery through hands-on AI-augmented development leveraging Gen-e2 practices to accelerate mobile product delivery
• Shape mobile strategy for clients by conducting feasibility assessments during pre-sales defining solution architectures and facilitating technical workshops
• Champion Gen-e2 mobile practices teaching teams effective prompting strategies for iOS Android and cross-platform development to build an AI-first mobile engineering culture
• Establish mobile DevOps excellence through CI/CD automation app store management and quality assurance via testing and code reviews
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients leading executive briefings innovation workshops and strategic planning sessions on mobile transformation
• Drive business growth by contributing to RFPs proposals and strategic pursuits and identifying upsell opportunities
• Develop mobile capability by coaching consultants within the team and delivering technical training sessions

What you will bring:

As PALO IT leads the shift to AI-augmented consultancy were looking for a Lead mobile technologist who can lead with both technical excellence and strategic vision.

Essential:

• 8-10 years of software development experience with at least 5 years focused on mobile development
• Deep expertise in at least one mobile platform: iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) OR Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose) OR cross-platform (Flutter/KMM)
• Proven track record of delivering production mobile applications to app stores
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns (MVVM MVI Clean Architecture)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices and mobile-specific tooling (Fastlane CircleCI etc.)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in client delivery environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders
• Strong work ethic independent thinking and collaborative team player

Desirable:

• Experience across multiple mobile platforms (iOS Android and/or cross-platform)
• Full-stack development experience (frontend frameworks like React/Angular/Vue and backend technologies like
• Proficiency in API design and integration with working knowledge of backend technologies
• Experience with or strong willingness to adopt AI-augmented development tools (GitHub Copilot Cursor etc.) and prompt engineering for mobile development
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and mobile-specific cloud services
• Knowledge of on-device AI/ML technologies (Core ML ML Kit TensorFlow Lite)
• Experience working in consultancy or professional services environments
• Background in leading technical teams or acting as tech lead on complex projects
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical thought leadership
• Experience with microservice architectures and modern API patterns
