CAMPUS SUPERVISOR
AT PORT ANGELES HIGH SCHOOL
7 Hours per day 185 days per year

DESCRIPTION
Assist administration in ensuring a safe welcoming and positive school climate and facility. Monitors hallways campus grounds and facilities to supervise student conduct and prevent intruders from entering campus. Assists administration in monitoring and implementing academic and behavior student interventions. Work closely with the School Resource Officer Additional duties may include supervision and security of night events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine supervision of school grounds buildings perimeters and other areas frequented by students.
Respond to enforce and prevent violations of school rules policies and regulations on school grounds and areas surrounding the campus.
Monitors the perimeter of the campus to prevent misuse private property near the campus and to discourage non-students from loitering or entering the campus.
Assists administration in monitoring and implementing academic behavioral and attendance interventions.
Acts as liaison with the public social services and mental health community for the purpose of supporting individual student development goals.
Develops rapport with students and uses positive reinforcement strategies and other appropriate techniques to assist students in the development of appropriate behavior and appreciation of human diversity.
Reports violations of school rules or illegal actions to administration.
Maintains order security and control of the campus and parking areas.
Encourages a clean campus environment.
Uses good judgement regarding appropriate action to assist an injured or physically ill student.
Attends and assists in the supervision of students during school-related activities such as athletic events assemblies dances and graduation as needed.
May go to other campuses to assist with problems involving students.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
School rules policies and regulations
Adolescent behaviorconflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
Rules regulations and legal statutes regarding campus control
Interpersonal skillstact patience and courtesy
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Certificates.
Responding to stressful situations appropriately
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position
All positions are on site and in person only
Have training or be willing to be trained in Behavior Management/Anger Control Peer Mediation Restorative Justice and other in-service programs dealing with effective communication and handling of eruptive situations.

Wages DOE
Benefits - Medical Retirement Basic Life/AD&D Basic Long-Term Disability FSA & HSA. Any employee anticipated to work at least 630 hours in the school year is eligible for benefits.
