Construction Manager, Telecommunications

We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our team in Sacramento CA. In this role you will oversee daily telecom infrastructure projects across California ensuring wireless and wireline builds are completed safely on time and to spec. This role coordinates field teams vendors and stakeholders while managing contractor performance and addressing risks.

The Role

• Manage daily construction activities across multiple projects
• Supervise construction crews and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance and schedule adherence
• Conduct site walks pre-construction meetings safety audits and closeout inspections
• Coordinate closely with permitting engineering real estate and logistics teams to keep projects on track
• Track project milestones using company provided tools
• Coordinate material deliveries equipment-staging and access logistics
• Support the Director of Construction in maintaining project budgets and schedules
• Serve as an on-the-ground escalation point for field issues; collaborate on resolution strategies
• Effectively communicate project status risks and resource needs to leadership and clients
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety protocols and applicable California regulations
• Document and verify completion of punch lists redlines and closeout packages

• 5 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications construction (e.g. wireless fiber small cell DAS)
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent site builds in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of California regulatory requirements site permitting and utility coordination
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification required
• Familiarity with major wireless carriers and their construction standards (AT&T Verizon T-Mobile etc.) required
• Knowledge of fiber construction methods including aerial and underground
• Experience managing vendor performance and enforcing contractual deliverables
• Experience with union and prevailing wage job sites preferred
• Proficiency in construction tracking software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including client interaction and reporting
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions in tight or elevated spaces and on varied terrain
• Physically able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds climb and work on ladders (up to 28 feet) and perform tasks involving bending reaching twisting and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working in moderate to high noise environments and around mechanical electrical and power equipment
• Must utilize proper PPE and follow safety protocols including for handling hazardous materials
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed (including evenings weekends holidays and overtime)
• Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a drivers license is required if the role involves driving
• Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR Background Check Drug Screen)
