Job Description
We are looking for aSenior Data Engineerwith strong expertise inSQL and Pythonto design build and optimise data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have experience working with modern data platforms cloud environments and an interest in enabling analytics and business intelligence through clean reliable data models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
- Write complexSQLqueries and optimise them for performance.
- Develop data workflows usingPythonfor automation data validation and integration.
- Collaborate with analysts and BI engineers to ensure data availability and quality.
- Manage and monitor data pipelines for reliability and performance.
- Implement data quality checks and logging across all data layers.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics initiatives.
- 5 yearsof experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong SQLskills (complex joins window functions optimisation).
- Proficient in Pythonfor ETL scripting data manipulation and automation.
- Experience withrelational databases(e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Snowflake or BigQuery).
- Solid understanding ofdata modelingandETL best practices.
- Experience withFivetrandbt or other modern ELT tools.
- Familiarity withany BI tool(e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker).
- Exposure tocloud platforms(AWS GCP or Azure).
- Knowledge ofversion control
