ThePortage County Parksdepartment is hiring SeasonalSki Hill Aidesto work approximatelyfrom the beginning of December 2025 - to mid March 2026. The position works at Standing Rocks Park and schedules can range between 10 - 40 hours per week depending on preference.
What are the primary job duties
Sells tow tickets food and beverages.
- Sets up the lunch counter/ticket sales area each day and maintains inventories and records for each day. Sells tow and trail tickets and food items as needed.
- Sweeps and mops the floors in the lodge bathrooms and ski shops. Cleans the lodge tables and counter areas. Cleans sinks and toilets in the bathrooms andlunch counter area. Cleans containers utensils and refrigerator on a daily basis.
- Keep the wood boxes filled and clean the fireplaces daily.
Operates the ski rental shop including fitting skis collecting rental fees and recording rentals and sales.
- Fits renters with ski equipment and collects and records fees for same.
- Sells wax and other items and provides such ski services as hot waxing.
Operates the tows and enforces ski hill rules and regulations especially those related to safety.
- Operates the tows and ensures that skiers and snowboarders are using the towssafely. Checks users for daily tickets.
- Assists with the maintenance of the tow lanes. Helps shut down the tows at the end of the day.
What are the minimum requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior park or ski hill experience preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Must be 18 years old.
