Job Summary
Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
Location: Tempe AZ (Onsite Full-Time)
Pay: $25$28 per hour
Benefits: Competitive benefits package available
About the Role:
Our client a well-established construction company based in Tempe Arizona is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time onsite position ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a background in construction billing and receivables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Project Managers to prepare and submit monthly AIA billings
- Maintain an up-to-date list of clients with outstanding balances
- Collect lien waivers from vendors and suppliers per General Contractor (GC) requirements to ensure timely release of payments
- Issue invoices and billing statements to clients and follow up as needed
- Accurately record payments and apply them to customer accounts
- Monitor and identify delinquent accounts or insufficient payments
- Communicate with clients regarding overdue balances and payment timelines
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales customer service etc.) to resolve billing issues
- Prepare and maintain regular accounts receivable reports
- Support the implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous Accounts Receivable experience preferably in the construction industry
- Familiarity with AIA billing lien waivers and construction project billing requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook)
- Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Sage 100 Procore GC Pay Textura
