This job is in the Aviation Insurance Claims Operations Team Aviation is a very exciting area of the insurance world. The claims can be aircraft damage (airplane helicopter space related etc.) bodily injury or property damage etc. This role supports our claims managers coordinates system issues and creates advanced MS Excel reports for Insureds Brokers and Upper Management.

This person will be responsible for supporting claims managers including:

  • Following the claim from beginning to final resolution.
  • Making payments and setting up claims in our claims system.
  • Send Acknowledgment and closing letters redact policies export claim files.
  • Collections related to coinsurance deductibles and SIRs.
  • Research funds received by accounting.
  • Assisting with Large Payment Notices and Cash Calls to the accounting group as needed.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the new claim inbox and assigning claims to claims managers.
  • Resolving system errors on the daily error reports from both our claims system and other systems such that payments are processed and documented appropriately.
  • Assisting with Medicare reporting via the claims system using ISO searches as needed and resolving any errors.
  • Producing reports for insureds brokers underwriters etc. at the end of the month and as requested. The reports will be downloaded from our claims system into excel for further customization. Involves Advanced MS Excel.
  • Tracking and invoicing deductible and SIRs involves Advanced / heavy MS Excel with pivot tables if statements and vlookups.
  • IT coordinator for the team for trouble shooting and system enhancements and testing.
  • Completing and loading Coinsurance treaties in Claims system.
  • Weekly Audit reports and analysis.
  • Resolve policy import errors.

Education:

College Graduate Preferred Accounting Statistics Math Economics or equivalent work experience. Must be extremely proficient with excel and calculating numbers using percentages.

Claims experience would be helpful.

Must be very organized and have good time management skills

Professional communication skills are a must.
