Junior General Ledger Accountant (with first experience)

The opportunity
Our internal Finance team is looking for a Junior GL Accountant. You will be responsible for checking the quality of the books and supporting the year-end closing addition you will join a young and dynamic team genuinely passionate about its work within a leading global professional services firm.
Your key responsibilities:
- Perform Balance Sheet and P&L monthly account reconciliations and analysis
- Perform Fixed Assets Accounting (FA creation and FA Maintenance)
- Prepare/Review GL journal entries and accruals
- Prepare monthly and annual closings
- Prepare Audit files and statutory reconciliations for several legal entities
- Provide support in the preparation of the Belgian statutory financial statements
To qualify for the role you have the following qualifications:
- You hold a bachelors degree in accounting
- You have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in accounting in a similar function
- You have a first experience in BE GAAP and year-end closing
- You are fluent in French or Dutch and English as you will be communicating with our shared service center abroad
- You can adapt quickly to changes and can handle multiple priorities concurrently
- You are analytical accurate and have strong data-gathering skills
- You have a good knowledge of Excel (Look-up functions Pivot Table etc.)
Ideally youll also have
- Experience in an international environment using the BE GAAP in combination with another GAAP and multiple ledgers
- Experience with an ERP like SAP
