Job Summary
An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school and sixth form in Haringey North London recognized for its exceptional student progress and high-achieving Mathematics department is seeking a talented Teacher of Mathematics to start in January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach rigorous and engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 (including A-Level) with a focus on securing top-grade outcomes for all pupils.
- Contribute to a collaborative and innovative department actively engaging in continuous professional development and curriculum design.
- Implement data-driven strategies to identify and support students requiring intervention while also providing high-level challenge for gifted mathematicians.
- Actively participate in the schools extracurricular life potentially running maths clubs or supporting external competitions (e.g. UKMT).
- Uphold the schools high expectations for student behaviour achievement and respect in all aspects of school life.
Requirements
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven track record of delivering excellent exam results in Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level.
- High level of pedagogical skill and the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging to diverse student groups.
- Dedicated to making a tangible positive impact on student outcomes within a dynamic inner-city setting.
