Position Overview
The Patient Access Manager will oversee all aspects of patient registration scheduling insurance verification and financial counseling. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless patient experience and optimizing revenue cycle performance. You ll lead a team of access specialists implement best practices and collaborate cross-functionally to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Patient Access department across multiple service lines
- Ensure accurate and timely patient registration insurance verification and authorization processes
- Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Train mentor and evaluate staff performance; foster a culture of accountability and service excellence
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Clinical and IT teams to streamline workflows and resolve barriers
- Stay current with regulatory requirements payer policies and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration Business or related field (Master s preferred)
- 3 years of leadership experience in patient access or revenue cycle operations
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems (e.g. Epic Cerner) and insurance workflows
- Proven ability to lead teams manage change and drive performance metrics
- Exceptional communication problem-solving and customer service skills
