Job Summary

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Study and interpret engineering blueprints technical drawings and specifications to understand assembly requirements
- Utilize various hand tools power tools and machinery to cut shape and form sheet metal components according to specifications
- Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products adhering to strict quality standards
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components to ensure accuracy quality and adherence to aerospace industry standards
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances making adjustments as necessary
- Safely handle and store sheet metal materials ensuring proper organization and inventory control
- Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team including engineers and machinists to achieve seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines contributing to a safe and efficient working environment
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Any technical or trades qualifications/certificates or training would be considered an asset
- Ability to complete a criminal background check
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years of manufacturing aerospace warehousing or construction experience is considered an asset
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools power tools and sheet metal fabrication machinery
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings blueprints and technical specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines
- Must have and maintain the ability to legally work in Canada.
Location: Victoria BC
Term: Permanent Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours per week
