Come join the GTS Commercial Systems team we are the engine behind Grabs commercial success delivering technology that creates time increases clarity and drives productivity for our business partners. We are platform-agnostic technologists focused on outcomes.
As a Business Analyst Trainee you will be at the forefront of our delivery lifecycle acting as the critical bridge between our business stakeholders strategic goals and our technical delivery teams.
You will learn to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements ensuring that what we build delivers measurable value. This is a unique opportunity to develop a product-owner mindset and learn how to shape demand not just document it within a fast-paced enterprise environment.
This is a 6 months full-time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Collaborate with business stakeholders from various functions in Grab like GCS and MEX to understand their objectives processes and pain points.
- Learn to conduct requirements gathering workshops document user stories with clear acceptance criteria and map business processes.
- Support the coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) helping to create test scenarios and ensuring business users can effectively validate solutions.
- Work alongside senior Business Analysts to analyze incoming requests and contribute to the demand shaping process ensuring new initiatives align with our platforms strategic direction.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation for all requirements and process flows in tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning Grooming Retrospectives) to understand the agile delivery process.
- Learn to work closely with development testing teams while being the bridge between them and ensure the delivery is seamless
- Assist in grooming the product backlog ensuring that all initiatives are well-defined and ready for the solution design phase.

Role Requirements
- A strong interest in the intersection of business and technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
- A proactive and curious mindset with a willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is a plus.
- No prior professional experience is required but a passion for technology and process improvement is essential.
Technical Skills and Competencies Trainee will learn during the traineeship:
- Proficiency in business requirements analysis and user story creation.
- Hands-on experience with agile project management tools like Jira and documentation platforms like Confluence.
- A deep understanding of the Business Analysts role within a structured SDLC and the principles of agile development.
- The ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and translate business language into technical requirements.
