Get to know the Team
Our team develops production-grade robotics and autonomy capabilities for the urban environments of Southeast Asia. We advance perception planning and control step by step with safety evidence as the gate for every milestone. We focus on building robust system capabilities scaling with uncompromised quality and collaborating with industry leaders while investing in in-house expertise where it differentiates us.
We are a senior hands-on engineering group that prizes operational excellence clear interfaces and reproducible pipelines.
Get to know the Role
As a Lead On-Vehicle Integration Engineer you are the crucial link between our software and the physical world. Your mission is to own the deployment performance and reliability of our entire software stack on our robotic platforms. Youll solve the deep technical challenges of ensuring our complex system runs efficiently and robustly on real-time resource-constrained embedded hardware.
Youll be based at Grab One North Singapore office and report to a Head of Engineering contributing directly to both technical and strategic leadership.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
You will:
- Own the system bring-up and integration of all software modules onto the target compute platform from the OS and drivers up to the application layer.
- Lead the performance optimization efforts including profiling latency tuning and resource management to ensure the system meets its real-time constraints reliably.
- Develop the core vehicle interface software managing the communication between the compute system sensors and actuators.
- Develop and operate on-platform diagnostics logging and health monitoring systems that are critical for debugging and fleet management.
- Partner with hardware controls and safety teams to influence the selection of compute hardware and to validate end-to-end system performance.
- Guide other engineers on best practices for embedded software development real-time systems and robust integration.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
You have:
- A Bachelors Degree in Robotics Autonomous systems EE CS or related fields.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in embedded/ automotive/ robotics systems engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in modern C (C17) and strong proficiency in Python for tooling and testing.
- Deep hands-on experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) (e.g. QNX Linux with PREEMPTRT) and embedded software development.
- Experience with compute architecture networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet CAN) and multi-sensor integration
- Knowledge of time synchronisation and calibration pipelines along with vehicle dynamics and control loops with redundancy fault tolerance and fail-operational architectures.
- Experience with on-target debugging performance profiling and system analysis.
