Job Summary
We are looking for General Catering Assistant to work within Wrekin college prep. The role will be based at a superb location. As a General Catering Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment adhering to food safety standards
- Help with washing up cleaning equipment and general kitchen duties
- Support the catering team in setting up and clearing dining areas
- Assist with food storage and stock rotation
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing peeling and chopping ingredients
- Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate
- Assist with special dietary requirements and allergen management
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Maintain accurate records as required by the school and regulatory bodies
- Assist with catering for school events and functions when needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen and dining areas
- Provide excellent customer service to students staff and visitors
The successful candidate will be reliable hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
