Role accountabilities:
Develop a growth strategy in the NYC market for the Mobility D&E practice through internal collaboration and external market insight.
Identify and pursue project opportunities for the D&E practice including road design transit design and environmental review & permitting.
Grow environmental planning (per NEPA SEQRA CEQR) permitting and NYC land use approval (ULURP) work for public and private sector clients.
Ensure the overall success of projects by facilitating cross-discipline coordination and review and monitoring quality processes.
Lead a diverse team of project managers planners and designers to ensure tasks and designs meet clients expectations standards and schedules.
Participate in delivery meetings with clients and internal personnel to support program/project delivery.
Conduct technical reviews of contract documents technical requirements and reference documents.
Work with the Project / Program Manager and various discipline leads to develop delivery plans and track project progress including any scope deviations.
Key Attributes:
Demonstrated ability to work with public sector and private sector clients during tender phase and detailed design phases of design-build projects.
Demonstrated ability to work with state and municipal clients in planning and design phases of design-bid-build projects.
Demonstrated ability to source and win D&E environmental review and/or permitting work in the NY region with public and private sector clients.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Excellent management skills to manage Arcadis personnel and sub-consultants.
Develop/implement project delivery solutions. Represent the company to internal and external clients.
Motivate and build staff into a cohesive team to achieve project goals and objectives.
Strong Mentoring and Leadership skills to facilitate Team Development requirements.
Promote the growth of Arcadis project portfolio with various key clients.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 15 years of project management and technical delivery experience in the field of engineering or planning with public sector clients
Prior experience as a technical lead Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Engineering Architecture Construction Management etc.)
Professional Engineer License or AICP accreditation
Experience delivering design-build or design-bid-build projects for NYC New York State and New Jersey clients

The salary range for this position is $170000 - $225000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
