Summary
Were seeking a Design & Communications Specialist who will bring our mission to life through powerful storytelling dynamic visuals and thoughtful strategy. In this role youll be the creative force behind our print and digital communications helping the Acadiana community understand and engage with the work we do. Key Responsibilities
- Graphic Design & Brand Management
- Design and produce print and digital materials (brochures reports donor materials signage and more)
- Support written content needs for campaigns and promotions
- Lead the creation of visual materials for fundraising and events
- Prepare print-ready files and digital content for publication
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels
- Maintain and evolve design templates and asset libraries
- Social Media Production
- Develop and publish content across social media platforms
- Align messaging with development and program goals
- Monitor analytics and engagement to inform strategy
- Website Management
- Keep the website current accessible and mission-aligned
- Build and manage campaign landing pages
- Optimize content for SEO and accessibility
- Coordinate with web vendors on maintenance and improvements
- Photography & Visual Storytelling
- Serve as the in-house photographer for events and programs
- Curate and maintain a digital photo library for storytelling use
- Cross-Departmental Support
- Fulfill marketing and communications requests from program teams
- Assist with messaging and design for events and fundraising campaigns
- Contribute to the execution of broader communication strategies
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Visual Arts Design Communications or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator)
- Video production/editing skills a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent time and project management skills
- Experience managing vendors and print production timelines
