Job Summary
Job title: Process Engineer II
Location: Royston UK

As a Process Engineer II youll contribute to JMs mission as a world leader in sustainable technology transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner brighter future.
The role:
As a Process Engineer II you will help drive our goals by:
- Promote and maintain high environmental health and safety standards conducting risk assessments and participating in incident investigations.
- Develop improve and monitor hydrometallurgical processes through data analysis experimental work (bench pilot and plant scale) and issue resolution.
- Provide process expertise for HAZOP studies Process Hazard Reviews and support capital projects with technical input trials and data collection.
- Contribute to commissioning activities for new and existing plants collaborating with production teams customers and technology partners.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Degree or higher (Masters/PhD) in Chemical Engineering or related field with experience in chemical plant operations.
- Strong technical expertise in process design analysis and safety including heat and mass balances P&IDs/PFDs hazard studies and EH&S.
- Proficient in data-driven problem solving using statistical analysis SPC and methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean with a track record of practical and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrates authenticity high energy and business awareness while building strategic relationships communicating effectively delegating responsibly and delivering innovative practical solutions.
