What this job involves - JLL is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the comprehensive management maintenance and optimization of a world class manufacturing complex in the defense sector. This role ensures operational excellence regulatory compliance and cost-effective facility operations while supporting business objectives and occupant satisfaction across our diverse portfolio.
What will be your day-to-day
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day facility operations including HVAC electrical plumbing and security systems
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize asset life and minimize downtime
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to ensure optimal performance and value
Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations (building codes safety environmental)
Coordinate space planning moves and modifications to support client needs
Financial Management
Develop and manage annual facility budgets and capital expenditure plans
Track and analyze operational expenses identifying cost reduction opportunities
Negotiate contracts with service providers and suppliers
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and variance analyses
Team Leadership
Lead and develop facilities management staff to achieve performance excellence
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR IT Security Operations)
Manage external contractors and service providers
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing professional development
Strategic Planning
Develop long-term facility strategic plans aligned with business objectives
Assess space utilization and recommend optimization strategies
Evaluate new technologies and sustainability initiatives
Support workplace transformation and hybrid work models
7 years of progressive facilities management experience in commercial real estate
3 years in a supervisory or management role
Experience working in a facilities related role in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CAFM/IWMS software systems (preferably JLL platforms)
Understanding of building automation systems (BAS) and IoT technologies
Knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and life safety
Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
Professional certifications: CFM (Certified Facility Manager) FMP (Facility Management Professional) SFP (Sustainability Facility Professional) or LEED AP
Experience supporting Fortune 500 clients or large corporate portfolios
Knowledge of workplace strategy and space optimization initiatives
Advanced proficiency in business intelligence and data analytics tools
Experience with smart building technologies and predictive maintenance systems
Knowledge of emergency preparedness and business continuity planning
Familiarity with ESG reporting and sustainability frameworks

Compensation Range:$100000 - $135000 bonus potential
