KINGSTON SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
Position: School Committee Recording Secretary
Job Goal: To complete the detail and written work relating to the recording of the minutes for the School Committee meetings.
Supervision: Reports to the School Committee and Superintendent of Schools.
Education Work Experience and Licensure:
: High school diploma G.E.D. or equivalent. At least two years of
prior experience as a clerical employee.
Preferred: At least five years of prior experience as a clerical employee.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Attends all meetings of the School Committee.
- Keeps full and accurate minutes of all meetings.
- Provides a copy of such minutes to the Central Office one week prior to the next regular meeting of the School Committee.
- Provides a copy of such minutes after School Committees acceptance to the Town Hall for their records.
- Performs such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the School Committee and/or Superintendent of Schools.
Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking standing sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching bending twisting grasping pushing and pulling of objects. There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer typewriter keyboard and other business machines.
Environmental Conditions: The occupant is required to work indoors.
Hourly compensation is$20
