Student UpReach Assistant to the Program Director (Work Study Only)

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Assistant to the Program Director for our partner organization UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Goffstown NH. The student in this position will gain a wide range of experience in program support. The student will have the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of programming offered volunteer management and experience the daily functions of a nonprofit organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to the program staff in development implementation and evaluation of new and current programming
• Assist in the collection of analysis and reporting of program data
• Work with participants in mounted and unmounted lessons
• Support the Volunteer Coordinator as needed
• Learn about community needs and take part in various community initiatives and events

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
• Work study part of financial aid package
• Students with work study may be prioritized
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to attend required mounted and unmounted trainings
• Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality
• Process the ability to balance various project simultaneously with attention to detail and follow through
• Experience with Microsoft Suite especially Word Excel and PowerPoint is preferred

• Student will have the opportunity to develop time management leadership and critical thinking skills
• Learn about mental health needs and various physical and cognitive disabilities

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday flexible schedule
