Summary:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a dynamic interdisciplinary team this role you will be responsible for the assessment diagnosis and treatment of patients serving as a key leader in developing and implementing effective patient-centered treatment plans. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional committed to clinical excellence and ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations diagnosis and medication management.
  • Develop implement and monitor individualized treatment plans providing clinical direction and leadership on interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Maintain accurate timely and confidential patient records including comprehensive social and medical histories.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians psychologists social workers nurses and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to formulate precise diagnoses and guide treatment interventions.
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain professional licensure uphold the standards of the medical field and comply with all organizational bylaws rules and regulations.
  • Actively participate in selected standing hospital committees providing valuable input within your area of expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certification in General Psychiatry.
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program in Psychiatry.
  • Unrestricted valid license to practice medicine in the state of Indiana issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of principles methods and procedures for the diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders.
  • Strong understanding of human behavior individual differences learning motivation and psychological research methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with patients families and members of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to understand and operate effectively within the broader contexts and systems of healthcare delivery.
  • Capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
