Position : Project Manager - PMO
Job location : Thane Maharashtra
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Alignment and Planning:
Ensure all global R&D projects align with company strategic goals and market demands.
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for global R&D initiatives ensuring alignment with the companys long-term vision.
Drive the integration of R&D strategies across global teams to foster innovation and competitive advantage.
2. Project Reviews and Issue Resolution:
Conduct regular analyses of project progress across global R&D teams to identify and resolve critical issues.
Oversee activities to ensure timely and effective problem resolution preparing comprehensive progress reports for senior leadership.
Collaborate with R&D development center heads worldwide to identify critical issues and deviations ensuring timely resolution and effective problem-solving.
3. Stakeholder and Resource Management:
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders globally to ensure collaborative project execution.
Strategically allocate resources across global R&D teams to maximize project outcomes and ensure efficient use of personnel materials and budget.
Develop and maintain a system for mapping technical skills within international R&D centers to facilitate efficient project allocation.
4. Innovation and Risk Management:
Identify and prioritize high-impact projects that drive innovation and competitive advantage on a global scale.
Proactively manage risks and opportunities within the global project portfolio ensuring compliance with international standards.
Support the selection and definition of projects through priority analysis and cost/revenue assessments.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor project progress and success across global R&D teams.
Provide strategic insights through detailed analyses of project progress resource utilization and market trends.
Prepare consolidated progress reports for senior leadership ensuring consistent and comprehensive project updates.
6. Budget Management:
Participate in defining the R&D budget for the Business Unit identifying associated KPIs and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate with development unit heads and financial control to define economic resources dedicated to R&D activities.
Monitor budget utilization ensuring financial targets are met and resources are used effectively.
Provide medium and short-term budget scenarios and resource allocation plans ensuring consistency with the SBU roadmap.
7. Global Collaboration and Coordination:
Facilitate seamless collaboration among global R&D teams promoting integration and synchronization of activities.
Organize regular cross-regional meetings and discussions to address current issues and share best practices.
Ensure effective communication and information sharing across all international development teams to foster a unified approach to project management.
Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across global R&D centers to drive strategic initiatives.
8. Leadership and Development:
Lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Mentor and develop team members globally ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to contribute to strategic goals.
Participate in project kick-off meetings contributing to project vision and values and ensuring common and shared management processes.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Project Management or a related field.
Experience: 12-15 years of experience with at least 8 years in Program Management and New Product Introduction within the electrical device industry.
Certifications: PMP PMI or Six Sigma certifications preferred.
