Job Summary
The Fiber Technician installs racks patch panels fiber optics and grounding for equipment and cables.
Performs continuity testing on horizontal and riser cables using volt-ohmmeter and tone sets and troubleshoots issues such as opens crosses shorts and transposed pairs effectively.
Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills proficiency with required tools and the ability to serve as a liaison with customer representatives while supporting process improvements.
Calculate loss budgets per TIA/EIA standards and complete accurate documentation including timesheets and work orders
