Job Description

NOTE: This role is based out of Red Wings headquarters in Red Wing MN with a HyFlex work model that blends in-office work availability with remote flexibility. The candidate must live within a commutable distance to Red Wing MN to maximize collaboration efficiency and community. 

Red Wing Shoe Company is seeking a Retail and Fleet Operations Specialist to join our Revenue Operations Direct to Consumer team. This role will support Retail (Red Wing Shoe Store) Channel Operations initiatives and objectives assisting the field team in both retail brick and mortar and mobile shoe truck and company owned and leased fleet vehicle operations. This role will support and monitor business processes to ensure compliance and accuracy while identifying and providing operational efficiencies. 

Essential Duties:

  • Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution and compliance by defined processes across our various vendors for ongoing service for our company and dealer owned Red Wing Shoes Stores
  • Act as the conduit between external vendors channel operations team field team leadership and store leadership to ensure process documentation and accuracy in deployment to enhance operations and minimize risk and effort 
  • Oversee appropriate reconciliation of contracts invoicing and payment processing for vendor-supplied services with timeliness and accuracy 
  • Develop and communicate reporting to inform decisions and field team communication
  • Coordinate the physical ordering and management of access for new employee resources such as Tyden Brooks name tags and Callard Apparel for company retail field employees and guides dealer support 
  • Provide input into the channel employee onboarding process gain insight and feedback to inform a best-in-class experience  
  • Process vendor invoices and payments with timeliness and accuracy  
  • Effectively organize streamline and complete tasks identified - driving at implementation and completion of DTC channel-owned initiatives 
  • Summarize and communicate with data and information available in systems and reportsto DTC Sales Leadership and Vendors  
  • Maintain complete and accurate records and lists systematically for transparency and informed decision-making (i.e. TEAMS SharePoint )as it relates to Red Wing Shoe Store locations 
  • Coordinate centralized duties related to licensing compliance insurance fuel cards security serialized units that are leased and owned along with their service areas tracking lease and maintenance records through various external partnerships internal COE and field team leadership 
  • Maintain gas cards for mobile trucks including invoice management resetting driver PIN and assigned net new gas cards and new driver setup via Element.  
  • Including the facilitation management distribution via mailing and completion of gas cards provided to appropriate Red Wing Store locations  
  • Facilitate and reconcile toll accounts for company owned mobile shoe trucks ensuring the transponder records stay updated to reflect the correct truck usage. 
  • Partners with Leadership to research and to provide recommendations on cost effective solutions to meet desired goals.  
  • Support and manage all aspects of RWS Industrial mobile operations in partnership with COE partners including truck repairs and state and federal DOT regulations

Qualifications :

Education and Experience: 

  • Associates degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school in a related field of study including Business Management Operations or Vendor Compliance with a minimum of two years of experience in retail operations field support or related business operations role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience supporting retail stores fleet operations or mobile retail units is preferred. 
  • Background in process improvement vendor coordination and compliance monitoring preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • General understanding of retail operations and store workflows.
  • Knowledge of administrative processes and office management.
  • Basic understanding of compliance and retail regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) and familiarity with retail systems/ERP platform 
  • Strong attention to detail analytical skills with an ability to identify efficiencies and streamline process
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with proven ability to partner across teams
