As a Functional Safety Tech Lead you will direct efforts to ensure product compliance with ISO IEC and other relevant safety standards. You will review system and software safety requirements oversee critical design and code reviews and provide guidance on functional safety practices across teams. Working in agile sprints you will manage safety deliverables while also supporting platform initiatives consulting on business development and mentoring engineers. Your leadership will ensure that robotic systems meet rigorous safety and reliability standards within defined project timelines.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor safety engineers throughout the company.
Oversee design reviews and integration activities.
Provide critical path support to ensure timely delivery of key project outcomes.
Direct day-to-day work within agile sprints and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
Contribute 25% of time to platform initiatives to drive common infrastructure and tools.
Consult on business development opportunities providing technical expertise to support proposals and customer needs.
Support hiring interviewing and onboarding processes as well as training for team members.
Ensure project milestones and near-term objectives are achieved within scope and quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in safety engineering robotics or a related technical field.
5 years of experience working with functional safety standards with prior leadership or technical lead experience preferred.
Strong background in robotics systems or relevant engineering disciplines preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in agile environments.
Proficiency in design review processes systems integration and critical issue resolution.
