Qualifications of an ideal Wellness Director:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience in Senior Living
  • LPN or RN Required Based on State Regulations
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • At least 3 years work experience as a Director of Nursing in the senior living industry

Wellness Director Job Summary:

The Wellness Directoris responsible for the coordination and supervision of care and services to Residents to achieve desired clinical emotional and wellness outcomes in accordance with federal state local company standards and established policies and procedures.

  • Establish and monitor goals and expectations for all clinical departments.
  • Develop departmental budgets re-forecasts and staffing plans.
  • Develop implement and monitor the Quality Improvement Safety Infection Disaster and Environmental Control Programs.
  • Participate in and oversee the admission and on-going Resident assessment and care planning process.
  • Oversee surveys and inspections made by government agencies.
  • Complete appropriate forms reports evaluations and studies.
  • Conduct clinical staff supervisory responsibilities including hiring orientation training scheduling coaching monitoring counseling discipline and terminations
