- The Global High Net Worth (GHNW) team is a team responsible for the sourcing and onboarding of global HNW customers to the Enterprise through a global distribution and operations team. They facilitate the onboarding of customers within the chosen business unit. Our focus is to establish a future-ready organization that provides the global customer a white-glove experience expected by our distribution partners and their private bank customers and one that works in harmony with the BUs and their other channels.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting and Reporting of a UAE subsidiary and Bermuda
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and report ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Tax Submission and Compliance of a UAE subsidiary and Bermuda
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings including income tax and VAT.
- Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
- Liaise with tax authorities/external consultant to resolve any tax-related issues or inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for tax audits and assessments.
- Treasury Operations of a UAE subsidiary and Bermuda
- Supervise treasury operations including cash flow management and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage liquidity to ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
- GHNW Financial Analysis and Insights
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and improve financial performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support for various projects and initiatives.
- GHNW Ad-hoc Projects and Tasks
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller including special projects and initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address business challenges and drive improvements.
2. People Leadership
- Lead and supervise the finance team ensuring effective daily operations.
- Conduct 1st level reviews and manage team utilization and allocation.
- Provide performance feedback technical coaching and mentorship.
- Promote continuous learning and capability building.
- Support succession planning and staff development initiatives.
3. Shared Responsibilities
- Work with the Actuarial team on cash flow modelling for GHNW Business Plan and forecasting purpose.
- Work with the Actuarial team on analyzing GHNW business performance results against actuarial valuation assumptions.
- Work with the Data Analytics team to provide intelligence to the GHNW business in terms of converting data into meaningful information to make decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
- Professional Qualification (e.g. CPA ACCA)
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of financial principles practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
