Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Redbridge to assist with the appointment of an Administrator - Admin & Clerical on a 3.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.63 - 19.90 per hour

Summary:

Redbridge Council is seeking a proactive highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join the People Group. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the service by providing a wide range of administrative and clerical support.

This role requires an individual with excellent organisational skills strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Administrator will support meetings maintain accurate records coordinate events and workshops and ensure the effective operation of office systems and processes.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site primarily based at Albert Road Children Centre Ilford with occasional work required at other Redbridge Council offices.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Take accurate and professional minutes during meetings and distribute them promptly.
  • Prepare scan copy and organise documents as required.
  • Create and maintain well-structured information packs and ensure records are up to date.
  • Support the organisation of events workshops and team activities including logistics and materials preparation.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience using and maintaining office equipment (e.g. scanners copiers printers).
  • Experience in coordinating events workshops or meetings.
