Job Profile Summary
TA&A Singapore is looking to support Front Office business ambitions by hiring a Credit Officer who will:
(1) Assist in executing client transactions from origination to closing and
(2) Manage part of the credit risk of an assigned client portfolio. This person will work closely with Senior Credit Officers (SCOs) Local Risk Managers (LRMs) and various assigned business units.

Transaction Approval & Advice (TA&A) based in Singapore acts as the credit risk management group and second line of defense in support of the wholesale lending business. The department is responsible for the transaction approval process and portfolio risk management in Singapore and the Asia region.
Responsibilities:
- Work with SCOs LRMs Front Office teams and Credit Administration staff to assist in managing the credit risk of designated credit portfolios;
- Assist in the quarterly portfolio monitoring ARIA dashboards and other initiatives;
- Assist in preparation of both internal and external reports including regulatory reports
- Assist in preparation and processing of credit applications;
- Advise and support the credit decision process for individual credit transactions and relevant credit portfolios within the boundaries of established risk appetite statements and in line with applicable credit risk policies among other by writing advices under the supervision of the SCO / LRM
- Monitor and report on relevant transactions obligors and portfolios
- Complete Risk Ratings in accordance with ING policy and in a timely manner to help assure the portfolio loan loss provision (LLP) is calculated accurately
- Stay on top of industry trends or news events that affect portfolio risk using this to adjust as necessary Watchlist Risk Rating or LLP
- Making sure we continuously ensure we can evidence our challenge role from a 2LoD perspective
- Stakeholder Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with management and other relevant internal and/or external stakeholders
- Coordinate with audit staff including external audit Corporate Audit Services SOX as well as DNB and ECB activities
Requirements:
- 6 years experience within Wholesale Banking which may include front office roles with a preference for exposure to credit risk management duties
- Ample experience in executing transactions preferably in the relevant products and sectors with specific knowledge and experience with the Singapore and APAC markets
- Good credit analysis skills
- Good knowledge of relevant credit risk management processes systems and concepts
- Good knowledge and following of regulatory process affecting lending capital requirements and compliance matters
- Strong knowledge of credit risk with working knowledge of counterparty and market risk.
- Working knowledge of financial markets products including interest rate commodity and FX derivative products ISDA terms and negotiation
- Bachelors degree or equivalent with Engineering Finance Economics Law or a closely related field

- Interaction and effective communication with internal departments and relevant external parties (clients banks advisors audit) requiring persuasion and engagement by personal impact
- Able to manage processes from a risk management perspective and have a strategic view on relevant risk drivers and mitigation
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A team player ability to work cordially within the team as well as with other Front Office & support function teams
