Job Description
Are you looking to join a fun innovative and growing company Look no further Hoj Innovations Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is an entry level accounting position previous accounting or book keeping experience is desired. An accounting or other business degree is a plus but not a requirement. This position will include a variety of tasks including service order billing (including dispatch) collections inventory time card verification and expense reporting (credit cards).
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and send service invoices.
- Backup receptionist on front desk.
- Answer incoming customer calls and accept credit card payments.
- Customer account maintenance and light collections.
- Researching and resolving discrepancies between billings and issuing credits as necessary
- Other accounting duties as assigned including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Must be highly organized and be able to multi-task
- Excellent attention to detail and efficient data entry
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as extensive problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Windows based operating systems & strong Microsoft Excel skills (including the use of V-Lookups & pivot tables)
- Accounting software and systems experience (we use Acumatica)
- Ability to work in a team environment to complete goals while also working alone on projects
- Ability to identify and solve business problems (identifying process improvements is encouraged)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
