Inventory Specialist
Nucor Buildings Group is looking for an Inventory Specialist to join our team.

Basic Job Functions:
- Receipt Processing: Receive and enter all warehouse and steel receipts efficiently to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Inventory Management: Daily relief of inventory meticulous tracking and investigation of inventory discrepancies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Physical Inventory Counts: Lead and manage physical inventory counts to uphold inventory accuracy and integrity.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive month-end inventory reports to provide insights into inventory status and trends.
- Adjustments: Complete and track inventory adjustments promptly to reflect changes accurately.
- Customer Support: Address internal customers inventory concerns promptly and effectively.
- Quality Claims Processing: Assist in processing raw material quality claims to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Scrap Material Handling: Facilitate scrap material pick-up to optimize warehouse space and resources.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applied knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Excel and Word documents.
- Knowledge of general inventory practices.
- Ability to plan around month/year end closings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or degree in purchasing inventory control or accounting
- Familiar with Microsoft D365
- Knowledge of metal building components and raw materials
