Position: Apprentice Heavy-Duty Mechanic
Work Location: 5001 Herbert Dr Navan ON
Permanent position

We are a dynamic company focused on growth and safety. GFL provides waste collection and processing recycling and organics management. We operate across North America with over 20000 employees. We are looking for a full-time energetic and motivated Apprentice Heavy-Duty Mechanic to support our growing business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform general mechanical work (electrical hydraulic air brakes component replacements roadside service etc.);
Complete daily reports on work completed and work to be done;
Notify your supervisor of the date time and duration of equipment and heavy truck downtime;
Perform any other related duties as required by your immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle mechanics with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience;
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics construction equipment mechanics or agricultural mechanics (an asset);
PEP (Preventive Maintenance Program) certification would be an asset.
