POSITION SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a CMM Operator under the direction of the Quality Manager in all actions will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality; supports Sonaca North Americas Quality Policy Mission Statement and other Company policies and procedures by supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction quality products and services lean processes continuous improvement on-time delivery safety teaming individual accountability and respect for people.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Start up and operate the CMM following the proper operating and safety procedures.
- Read and understand setup sheets and set up jobs per instructions
- Read and understand Sonaca North America sampling plan and run setup jobs per plan requirements.
- Read and understand CMM part programs make minor setup and program adjustments as necessary on a personal computer (PC) system.
- Complete data exchange through the CAD/CAM and SPC systems.
- Follow parts schedule prepared by the supervisor. Modify the schedule as required to accommodatehot jobs or emergency requirements.
- Work with CAD/CAM programmers quality and production personnel to collect data and resolve problems.
- Perform daily routine maintenance on the CMM to ensure the safe and efficient operation.
- Participate in work center team and/or other project teams.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
- Knowledge of MS-DOS based computer systems.
- Familiar with PC-DMIS Software preferred
- The ability to read blue prints mylars and customer specifications.
- Solid experience with measurement and calibration methods.
- Manufacturing experience particularly with computer assisted production.
- Work record which demonstrates a commitment to quality and efficiency. This includes a good attendance record.
- Knowledge of SPC and geometric dimension and tolerances.
- The ability to work with all Company personnel in a cooperative and pleasant manner.
- Preferably prior CMM experience or CNC mill operation experience with posting and running jobs
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
