The CNC Operator is responsible for programming setting up and operating 3-axis CNC machinery to produce precision parts and assemblies for custom interactive exhibits. The role involves using CAD/CAM software to interpret designs generate toolpaths and ensure high-quality fabrication in accordance with project specifications and production schedules. This is a Special Project position expected to run 12/1/2025-03/23/2026.
Qualified candidates will have but not limited to:
- Minimum 2 years experience with CNC programming in a shop environment;
- Minimum 2 years experience operating a CNC Mill or Router.
- Thorough knowledge of Aspire VCarve or similar CAM software;
- Working knowledge of 3 axis CNC mill/router operation and practices;
- Working knowledge of drafting cabinetmaking and mechanical engineering and methods for communicating both visually and verbally;
- Ability to work with designers and fabrication personnel to resolve mechanical electronic and technical problems related to exhibit design;
The CNC Operator has an hourly pay of $26.97 and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
