RDC Inventory Control Associate

As an Inventory Control Associate at Crescent Electrics Regional Distribution Center you will conduct all daily functions related to driving inventory this role you will perform daily cycle counts inventory reconciliation inventory management processes transactional duties in receiving replenishment picking and auditing and analysis of inventory discrepancies. You will use your problem-solving skills to investigate verify and correct inventory discrepancies and develop strategies to prevent future discrepancies.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00am to 4:30pm

• The expected rate of pay for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 hourly.

Primary Duties:

• Review customer returns and ensure these returns are processed in accordance with company operating procedures.
• Work with the purchasing department to manage the returns to vendor process and assist in the coordination of the return or disposal of obsolete and slow moving products.
• Conduct product line/shelving reorganization and ensure accuracy of bin locations in the warehouse. Train and monitor warehouse personnel to do the same.
• Sort products by verifying the correct serial number to ensure zero defects.
• Verify format and print the return to vendor reports.
• Maintain an accurate inventory count of ready-to-pack and ready-to-return-to-vendor items by performing daily physical counts and automated inventory transactions and adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate inventory count of all products warehoused on daily weekly and/or monthly format as required.
• Format and provide daily and weekly WIP/Inventory status reports as needed.
• Assist the Inventory Control Manager with all inventory replenishment reports and inventory interactions with other departments and vendors.

• Ability to be reliable open to change and adaptable.
• Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft Office programs with the ability to learn new programs as needed.
• Ability to work early morning or evening hours regularly.
• Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid drivers license.
• years of experience working in an inventory control purchasing and/or warehousing capacity.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical product lines and vendors products preferred.

Physical Demands:

Often standing walking bending reaching and stooping. Occasional sitting talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.

• Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.

• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.

• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.

• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.

Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).

• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).

• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
