Job Description:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role provides day to day support for foam processing operations by performing multiple tasks at the end of the foam extruder line as well as routine maintenance activities. Responsibilities include stringing up pulling cutting and stacking foam boards to ensure smooth and continuous line addition this role provides fundamental logistical support which includes coordinating the shipment and receipt of materials maintaining organized storage of incoming and outgoing goods and ensuring timely movement of supplies required for pilot plant activities. The position plays an important part in enabling safe efficient and reliable pilot scale operations.
Reports to: Tallmadge S&T Lab Leader
Span of Control: Individual Contributor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Living Safely
- Implements a personal safety action plan and reviews with leader
- Regularly participates in monthly safety meetings
- Ensures rigorous compliance to safety procedures and OC corporate policies
- Focuses on sustaining a safe work environment for self and coworkers
- Translates work safety knowledge to personal/home.
Support Pilot Line Foam Extrusion
- Participates in scheduled foam formulation review meetings.
- Manually cut and string up foam board.
- Stack foam boards at the end of the extruder line.
- Operates a forklift and related attachments (training/certification required).
- Assist the maintenance and repair work on the pilot line equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to lift up-to 45 pounds required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of fasteners.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Teamwork Oriented - Self-starter who works with minimal supervision that balances multiple assignments; works effectively with the pilot plant team.
- Adaptability - ability to respond quickly to the demands of the moment. A flexible person who can stay productive when the demands of work pull in many different directions at once. Maintaining effectiveness in a variety of environments.
- Accountability - knows what needs to be done and gets it done. Committed to follow through to completion.
