Job Summary

The post holder will provide guidance to project activities to ensure the meaningful participation of children based on the nine (9) basic requirements for meaningful and ethical childrens participation as promoted by Article 12 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The post holder is responsible for contributing to establishing diverse partnerships with a broad range of groups and organizations ensuring the effective and timely implementation of planned activities and interventions of partners from the government civil society organizations media religious and private organizations (i.e. strategic implementing advocacy) and those jointly initiated with SCP as guided by SCPs principles and strategies on Partnership Management.



Requirements

Essential skills knowledge or experience
  • Strong background in child rights programming child participation and partnership management particularly in the context of health nutrition or related development programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government units (LGUs) civil society organizations childrens groups and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) safeguarding principles and ethical standards in working with children.
  • Experience in program implementation monitoring and evaluation and documentation of lessons learned or good practices.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage children and adults in participatory processes.
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Filipino.

Desirable skills knowledge or experience
  • Experience working in rural or geographically isolated communities particularly in Quezon Province or similar contexts.
  • Knowledge of socio-behavioral change communities (SBCC) approaches and community mobilization strategies.
  • Experience in proposal development stakeholder mapping and partnership scoping processes.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian programming emergency response and integrating child participation in humanitarian settings.
  • Ability to capture and share case stories advocacy messages and campaign content for communications and media purposes.
  • Knowledge of financial monitoring and partner compliance processes within project implementation.


Required education and qualifications (certifications licenses accreditations etc.)

  • Bachelors degree in social sciences development studies community development public health education or other related fields. If not a graduate applicant with equivalent experience in community development/organizing is acceptable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations including rural and geographically isolated areas in Quezon Province and other SCP areas.
