Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a skilled and dynamic Food & Beverage Manager for a luxury property based in Graskop. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality professional to take on a key leadership role at a prestigious 4- or 5-star hotel. The role is live-in with meals provided while on duty and offers a 5% compulsory provident fund.
Minimum Requirements:
3 to 5 years experience managing a fully operational F&B department in a 4- or 5-star hotel or lodge
Matric essential; tertiary qualification beneficial
Valid RSA ID and Drivers Licence (own vehicle required)
Excellent command of the English language
Basic financial acumen and advanced understanding of cost of sales and profit margins
Strong stock control knowledge
Experience in banqueting and conferencing
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to plan and execute promotions and events
Competency in MS Office (Word Excel Outlook)
Advanced knowledge of POS stock and PMS systems (APEX/NEBULA & PlusPoint advantageous)
Excellent report writing skills (weekly and monthly)
Strong ethical standards motivation and honesty
Passionate about food and beverage operations
Guest-centric with a professional well-presented demeanour
Proven track record with at least 2 years in each previous role
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the F&B department as a business unit
Staff management including training performance reviews and implementing SOPs
Develop and implement food and beverage procedures
Drive financial performance and achieve set targets
Monitor stock and equipment control
Create and manage staff shift schedules
Oversee health safety and hygiene compliance
Maintain accurate financial records and reporting (cash flow budgets deposits statements)
Handle client queries and complaints professionally
Create and implement marketing strategies
Uphold high hospitality standards and elevate the guest experience
Foster positive relationships with guests staff local community and industry partners
