Position Overview
As a member of a fast-paced team working with both operations and finance the Billing Clerk will be responsible for entering employee timesheets and invoicing for our contracts either Residential or Utility. A successful candidate will be someone that has a high attention to detail self-starter that can handle multiple tasks at once and enjoys research and resolution of accounts receivable issues.
This position is based at corporate office in Ancaster (office hours 8:30AM to 4:30PM) and reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor.
Job Duties
- Preparation of customer invoices on a weekly basis based on field execution
- Ability to meet the high paced volume of data entry while maintain accuracy
- Working with both operations and finance teams for accurate reporting
- Reviewing accuracy of the work performed by operations to ensure accurate billing to the client with supporting documentation
- Prepare invoices based on customer contract pricing customer requirements and review details for accuracy (Utility)
- Ensuring records and files are accurate
- Conduct Research and Resolution of Accounts Receivable issues
- Reconciliation work as required
- Performing data searches; recording and analyzing results
- Cross training with another team member to provide back up support for different contracts
Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting Business or a related discipline
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word Outlook Excel
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Able to prioritize multiple demands
- Able to work independently and with little direction following instructions accurately and completely
