We invite online applications from our civilian members for a full-time Property Clerk position.
Level 4A: $58112 through to $77483 (2025 Salary range)
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Property Clerk Supervisor and in accordance with Service policy the incumbent will receive store record control and issue articles seized as evidence or recovered as lost or stolen property.
The incumbent will assist in ensuring seized property and evidence is purged in accordance with Service policy and legislation.
At all times the incumbent shall in the performance of their duties respect and protect human dignity and maintain and uphold the human rights of all persons.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record and control property retrieved from storage lockers on a daily basis
- Ensure property and officers notebooks are tracked and controlled
- Distribute office supplies
- Sign and account for received shipments
- Receive telephone inquiries regarding property/evidence
- Perform RMS functions including disposition of evidence and CPIC query
- Assist with auction preparation
- Assist with the return of property to rightful owners as required
- Respond to inquiries as required to any other needs
- Be accountable to supervisors for the duties described

Knowledge
- Good working knowledge of the organizational structure Routine Orders Policy and Procedures CALEA RMS and practices within the Service as it pertains to duties performed
- A thorough understanding and good working knowledge of receiving and inventory control
Skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Windows based computer operating systems
- Exhibit proficiency in keyboarding
Abilities
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make good decisions.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and through correspondence with people at all levels of comprehension
- Exhibit excellence in customer service
- Must be capable of handling multi-tasks produce work under strict and definitive deadlines.
- All other qualifications the position justifies
