We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and service-driven Assistant Manager or Duty Manager to become a key part of our Front Office leadership team at Hotel Woolstore 1888 Handwritten Collection.
This part-time position offers a unique combination of front office and reservations responsibilities - ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic guest-focused environment. As a leader on the floor you will oversee daily hotel operations support and guide the team and help shape the guest journey from reservation through to check-out.
In this role you will:
- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations acting as the shift lead and ensuring smooth service delivery across all guest touchpoints
- Lead by example coaching and supporting the team to maintain a high standard of hospitality
- Manage guest inquiries feedback and recovery with professionalism and care
- Coordinate and manage reservations contributing to reservation accuracy and revenue optimization
- Promote clear communication and collaboration across departments
- Inspire a positive safe and productive workplace culture through active leadership and team support
- Assist with rostering operational planning and the recruitment training and development of the Front Office teams
Qualifications :
What were looking for:
- Proven leadership experience in hotel operations (2-4 years preferred) with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect confidently with guests colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- A clear articulate communicator who excels at building relationships and navigating challenges with professionalism
- Adaptable and solution-focused with the ability to embrace change and remain calm under pressure
- Working knowledge of hotel management systems (e.g. Opera Cloud / PMS)
- Availability to work across a rotating roster including evenings weekends and public holidays
